As I am sure you are aware, a £1 voucher which can be used as payment towards most purchases in Currys, Currys.Digital, PC World and Dixons is of absolutely no use to me in settling costs incurred by telphoning your support line. I very much doubt that my telecoms provider would accept such a voucher as part-payment towards my telephone bill. Furthermore, I have yet to find a product at any of your stores priced below £1, so it seems that the only way to redeem your voucher is to spend even more money in your stores. I am greatly disappointed that this matter is still unresolved. Because neither yoursleves nor your Sheffield customer service address replied to my letters within the fourteen days I had to cancel membership of the Whatever Happens Club, I had no choice but to telephone the Tech Guys on the 14th day to cancel the membership, incurring more call costs. I presume that had I not telephoned, you would have started charging my credit card. Some time after cancelling by telephone, I received a welcome pack through the post from yourselves, which seems to imply that I am still a member of this “club”. The letter is addressed to “Miss M Smith”, not “Mr M Smith”. The card itself is also printed as such. I have enclosed your £1 voucher and unwanted membership card. Since your salesperson pressurised me into buying membership to this “club” as a condition of purchase in the store, and then you failed to action both of my letters to cancel, sent a card with the wrong name on it, and lastly tried to fob me off with a voucher whose value is less than my costs involved in even writing to you, I would like you to reimburse me fully, in cash or equivalent, for the costs that I have incurred in trying to settle this matter. This will be the third letter that I have sent regarding this matter, as well as two phone calls to your premium rate phone number, one of which was from my mobile phone. I estimate the total cost of contacting you regarding your substandard service to have been in the region of £8, which I would appreciate reimbursement of. Please note I cannot pay my phone bills or buy stamps with DSG vouchers.
